For God has not given us a spirit of fear, but of power and love and of a sound mind.

2 Timothy 1:7

It is a constant battle between comfort zones and uncharted territories. Our comfort zone seems like a safe haven and a place we find security. The unexplored areas often seem dangerous and unpredictable. This is exactly what Satan wanted me to think! Satan moves furtively and sneaks the thoughts of worry, anxiety, and fear into our minds. But if we guard our minds with the Word of God daily, God will defend us. Stepping out of my comfort zone was a scary thought for me at one point in my life.  I had to pray through in order to let go of the questioning, doubt, and worry. When I did, I had never seen God’s glory move so powerfully through me before. He opened doors that no man could close! Now, I am choosing more. I want more than the comfort zones and secure places because growth happens outside of those things. I believe when we let go of the things that hold us back, it is then we can receive true security in Him. He promises to be our safe place, our refuge, and our protection. I am choosing more.
