God is woven into the waiting

If you’re reading this, that means I am on my way, preparing, and starting my journey to serve the beautiful people of Guatemala for one month.

Many of you have been following my journey and have been so faithful in supporting me since October of 2019. We are finally here friends! I cannot thank you enough.

I have been waiting for this time and as you know, with it came a lot of excitement and joy, but also setbacks and heartache. But this is the waiting.

During this time, I have learned that we may experience doubt, confusion, and discouragement in the waiting rooms of our lives. You see, we spend a great deal of time waiting in our lives. We wait in lines. We wait at the red lights. We may wait for news or results to come back. We wait for phone calls. We wait for a certain door to open. When the night is long, we wait for the morning. We wait. BUT in that, God ultimately knows that the waiting He allows now will produce a greater anointing for later. So get ready.

Think of the waiting process of winemaking. Wine has to learn to wait, settle and be still in order for the fermenting process to be completed. In our waiting and our process, we can allow God to transform us as much so as the caterpillar waits to change into a butterfly.

“When God is woven into our waiting it will always be worth it.”

No matter what you are waiting for…. When God is woven into your waiting it will always be worth it. When I let go of how I thought things would look like and give up my need to control every outcome, I am choosing to let God be God. I am learning to settle and be still for Him.

Lord, thank You for our waits. Let us learn that our wait isn’t a waste, but a way to trust You deeper. I want to be so utterly dependent on You that anything could happen and yet Your peace that surpasses all understanding still abides in me. Lord, I pray for my friends who are in a season of waiting right now. When discouragement or doubt comes I pray You would make Yourself known in their situation. That they would pull closer to You rather than far away. That they would seek Your kingdom first about all things! Be with us, God, woven into our waiting. Thank you, Father. Amen

I love you all and I will see you all very very soon!
